I initially moved my bedroom into the other bedroom on the second floor. It had chair rail that I removed, and since I have no faith in my ability to patch/sand walls, I decided to paint the empty bedroom and move my room into there.
Their furniture was too large for the space, and again it looks like a junk storage room. The dark furniture, dark burlap bag brown paint, and dark blinds just really make the room feel tiny.
In this room I painted (walls, baseboard, trim, doors), replaced the blinds, and replaced the light fixture with a ceiling fan. I also replaced the knobs on the closet doors with pretty gemmed pulls. The wall color is another Behr color called “Petal Tip” – as usual, it’s in a satin finish. My TV stand and bed frame are from Wayfair. My green nightstand, table lamp, and comforter set are from Target. The posters are all from AllPosters.com. The pictured guitar is a 2011 Gibson Les Paul 60s Studio Tribute.
I’m glad I finally got my bedroom in order, and I wish I did it sooner. Waking up in a pretty room starts the day off on a positive note. I didn’t feel that when I was sleeping in the other burlap bag brown bedroom.
