I work from home so I spend the most time in the office. I am not really sure what the previous owners were using the office as. It wasn’t photographed for the listing, and when I saw it at the showing, it looked like a junk closet.
Like the rest of the house, the office was drab brown with dark brown blinds mounted to the outside of the window frame. Side note: the previous owners actually left some paperwork from when they got the blinds done last year. They spent 4 figures to have those ugly brown blinds custom ordered and installed. I *almost* felt bad when I threw them all out.
The spare bedroom at my old house was small, and when I saw this one, I honestly was worried that it was smaller and could not fit my desk and mini futon.
The paint color I went with is called “Stolen Kiss” (in satin) by Behr. Pink is my favorite color, and I’ve never done a pink room before. I was worried about it feeling like a baby’s/child’s room, but since this is a muted pink with a hint of peach, it worked perfectly.
The curtains, curtain rod, and wall shelves are from Amazon. The desk is from Target. The chair and area rug are from Target. The light fixture, throw pillow, and futon are from Wayfair. The posters are all from AllPosters. As I continue to make these posts for each room, you’ll find that Target and Wayfair are my most frequent go-tos. It’s not hard to have cute design on a small budget thanks to them.
